Pravuprasad Homestay: Detailed Refund & Cancellation Policy
This comprehensive policy outlines the terms for all cancellations and refunds related to bookings at Pravuprasad Homestay. We have designed this policy to be as transparent and fair as possible, ensuring a clear understanding for both our guests and our business. Your booking with us signifies your agreement to the terms detailed below.
1. Standard Cancellation Policy
The refund amount you receive is directly dependent on when you cancel your booking, based on the scheduled check-in date. We encourage guests to notify us of any changes to their plans as early as possible to ensure the best possible refund.
7 Days or More Before Check-in:
If you cancel your reservation more than seven (7) full days before your scheduled check-in date (local Bhubaneswar time), you are eligible for a full refund of the entire booking amount.
This policy provides maximum flexibility for our guests, allowing ample time to adjust plans without financial penalty.
Within 3 to 6 Days Before Check-in:
Cancellations made between three (3) and six (6) full days prior to the check-in date will result in a 50% refund of the total booking amount.
This portion of the policy helps us cover potential losses from the inability to rebook the room on short notice.
Within 48 Hours Before Check-in:
Bookings canceled within forty-eight (48) hours of the check-in date are not eligible for any refund.
This is a strict policy due to the very short time frame, as it becomes nearly impossible for us to find a replacement guest.
2. No-Show Policy
A “no-show” is defined as a guest who fails to arrive on the scheduled check-in date without providing any prior notification of a change in plans. In such cases, the booking will be considered forfeited and the full amount paid for the reservation will not be refunded. We advise guests to always communicate with us, even if they are unable to make their check-in.
3. Changes to Your Booking
If you need to change your booking dates, please contact us directly.
Requests for a change in dates are subject to our cancellation policy. For example, if you request to change dates within 48 hours of your original check-in, the booking will be treated as a cancellation with no refund.
Any date changes are subject to room availability and potential price adjustments.
4. Force Majeure & Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that unforeseen events can disrupt travel. In cases of a genuine “force majeure” event, such as a natural disaster, widespread public health crisis, or civil unrest, we will assess each situation on a case-by-case basis. While our standard cancellation policy applies, we will make every effort to offer a credit for a future stay or a full refund, at our sole discretion, in truly extenuating circumstances.
5. Refund Processing
Once a refund is approved and processed, the funds will be returned to you in the same manner as the original payment.
Processing Time: Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days from the date of the cancellation confirmation.
Method: The refunded amount will be credited back to your original payment method (e.g., credit card, bank account, digital wallet).
Incomplete Information: To avoid delays, please ensure your payment information is accurate and up to date. We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect information provided by the guest.
